…… GTH Participation to International Trade Fairs

Cebu-GTH is now organizing group participation to other intrenational trade fairs/shows around the world.The need to particpate in these trade fairs is necessary to support our participation in the local trade shows which are apparently not enough for a year's operating cycle. Cebu-GTH identified the following trade fairs as good alternatives. Remember, the exporting business is getting very competitive not even our design supremacy, craftmanship and the use of different natural materials is an assurance for buyers. We need to be where the buyers are.

In SSS, exhibitors love the fair as it gives them a mid season platform to launch new business outside the historically convention sourcing season, providing them withteh ideal opportunity to saty ahead of the pack. The show not only attracts buyesr from established markets but also opens up exciting possibilities in new and untapped markets. The 2005 fair attracted more than 1,250 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions with over 28,000 buyers attended the fair, including 64 buying missions- many from top-name companies. The Philippine pavilion will be represented by Cebu-GTH.

Frankfurt offers the latest, most exciting intrenational trends at first hand - earlier than anywhere else. Tendence Lifestyle is held at the end of August and is  more than just a trade fair for the international consumer goods industry. This is where designed is challenged and promoted, wheree established stars and young young talents with grounbreaking designs offer ideas for the future, where trendsetters showcase the fashions of tomorrow.

Index dubai is considered as the most significant international exhibition for home furnishings and interior industry in the world and the largest event of its kind in the Middle East, North Africa (MENA) and Asia. A the region's real estate sector continues to expand at an ever-increasing rate, the demand for quality, creative interior designs nad furnishings continues to intensify a big potential market for our products.

...CEBU-GTH and CIDA Pearl 2 Project

Attention to all Cebu-GTH Exhibitors:

PEarl 2 Project supports the development of Small and Medium Enterprise (SME's) to create meaningful jobs for both men and women in the Philippines. The principal benificiaries are Business Support Organizations (BSO's), thier members and Investment Promotions Agencies (IPAs). The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) funds the project until 2007. Pearl 2 Project is managed through a partnership between the Innovation Council of British Columbia and the Agri Team spearheaded by Mr. Ed Sutherland based in the Canada. The project is in conjunction with the Department of Trade and Industry and National Economic and Development Agency.

Cebu-GTH is now in the process of applying subsidy from Pearl 2 for Cebu X Exhibitors and other Trade fairs that we plan to participate this year. In view thereof,  we would like to you to fill up the Pearl 2 SME Information Sheet as one of thier requirements. All information will be treated with utmost confidentiality.

...CEBU-GTH Financing Program

 
Cebu-GTH will launch its new project, a credit facility for its members and subcontractors. This is a pilot project of both Cebu-GTH and PHILEXIM. It aims to provide easy and accesible financing to micro, small and medium enterprises specifically members of Cebu-GTH and thier subcontractors for thier additional working capital requirements.

Likewise, Pearl 2 is supporting this project thru the provision of a consultant to draft the implementing rules and regulations and in developing such project thereof.
